Ischgl is now an Ikon Pass member

Since winter 2025/26, the Ischgl/Samnaun ski region has been a member of the Ikon Pass, a renowned international ski pass alliance based in the USA, joining an impressive list of global winter sports destinations.

With the Ikon Pass, Ikon Pass holders have access to more than 60 winter sports destinations in America, Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

The pass is available as an Ikon Pass for unlimited access to 18 destinations and limited access to 53 additional destinations, or as an Ikon Base Pass for unlimited access to 14 destinations and limited access to 51 additional destinations.

Why the Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun is the ideal ski resort

With and without Ikon Pass

The cross-border Silvretta Arena Ischgl/Samnaun scores highly with its ski area altitude of up to almost 3,000 metres above sea level from the end of November to the beginning of May, guaranteeing snow.

Although our ski area in Ischgl does not have a glacier, skiers appreciate the high altitude and the top-notch snow-making system with 1,100 snow lances and cannons, which guarantee fantastic slopes throughout the winter season.

The following Ikon passes are accepted in the Ischgl/Samnaun ski area:

  • Ikon Pass

    The Ikon Pass provides unlimited access to ski lifts and slopes in 18 destinations in North America and Canada, and for up to 7 days in 53 other destinations worldwide, such as the Ischgl - Silvretta Arena in Austria.
     
  • Ikon Base Pass

    The Ikon Base Pass gives holders unlimited access to 14 ski regions in North America and Canada and up to 5 days in 51 other ski destinations worldwide, including the Silvretta Arena Ischgl in Austria.

When does the ski season start in Ischgl?

The ski season in Ischgl - Samnaun starts at the end of November. The season opens in Galtür, Kappl and See at the beginning of December.

When does the ski season end in Ischgl?

Thanks to the good altitude of the Silvretta Arena ski area, the ski season in Ischgl lasts from the end of November to the beginning of May. In addition to the natural snow, state-of-the-art snowmaking systems reliably ensure perfectly groomed slopes.

When is the ski opening in Ischgl?

The winter season in Ischgl kicks off at the end of November with the Top of the Mountain Opening Concert. The live concert offers a spectacular experience with well-known stars against the impressive backdrop of the Alps.

Where can you ski in Austria at Easter and in April?

In the Austrian glacier ski areas you can still count on snow at Easter and still have good skiing.

But the Ischgl-Paznaun-Samnaun ski area with the Silvretta Arena also offers the best piste conditions in spring until the end of April thanks to top snowmaking systems and many north-facing slopes and invites you to ski in the sun.

Is Hotel Solaria one of the Ischgl hotels which is at the piste?

We are not right at the piste, but are only a few minutes walk from the access point to the ski area.
